There aren’t many scorching hot days here in Southern Maine but this was one of them! While tourists were sunbathing, Mark and Kim were having a quintessential Maine wedding up above the cliffs of the Marginal Way in the seaside town of Ogunquit, Maine.
The Beachmere Inn played host for this Maine wedding ceremony and reception overlooking the Atlantic Ocean. This couple resides in MA but Ogunquit is a special place for them. They have a summer home here and the bride’s family has been coming to Ogunquit for vacation since she was a child. Now, it’s even more special to them. Speaking of special, this amazing bride and groom met and work together at the Dana Farber Cancer Center working with cancer patients during their treatments!
Every detail of this Ogunquit Maine wedding was carefully planned from specialty drinks, nautical wedding decor and favors to flip flops by the dance floor for the ladies to kick off their heels. They had a memorial display for loved ones there in spirit, corn hole games on the lawn, a fire pit and a s’mores and hot pretzel station for late night snacks.
There were many special moments during this Maine wedding – the bride’s brother officiated the ceremony. The bride’s niece as the flower girl delivered a special gift to her groom to be. The Mother of the Groom, who walks with a cane ripped it up on the dance floor, the bride’s parents danced to their wedding song for their milestone anniversary and they even had a few ‘wedding crashers’ join the reception. All in all a beautiful day for this couple, wishing them a very happily ever after…
